The Honor Bell

On December 14th,  Michelle Mallin, Executive Director, Honor Bell Foundation gave a presentation to the Colorado State Council on plans to create a second Honor Bell that will be used at the Pike's Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs and at various events in Southern Colorado. State Council president Stan Paprocki

presented a check for $2,000 to Michelle to support the creation of the second Honor Bell. In addition, Colorado Chapter 1075 President Thomas Dowell presented a check to Michelle for $1,500. The current plans are to cast the second bell in 2020.

Opened to the public in 2012, the National Museum of World War II Aviation documents the role that military aviation played in the emergence of our nation as a world power during the Second World War. Through a combination of its aircraft collection, exhibits, interactive displays, and docent led tours, the museum tells the story of our nation's tremendous technological advancements during the War, and describes the lasting social and economic changes that were essential to the success of the Allied war effort.  www.worldwariiaviation.org
